Overview
A classic example of American Depression Glass, this pitcher features the iconic 'Miss America' pattern characterized by its rows of diamond-point hobnails and vertical herringbone ribs.
Story
In 1935, as the United States struggled through the Great Depression, the Hocking Glass Company launched this pattern to inspire a sense of national pride and optimism.
Maker / Origin
The Hocking Glass Company was founded in 1905 and became a pioneer in the mass production of colorful, patterned glassware.
Condition & Value
The glass appears remarkably clear with no signs of 'clouding' or 'glass sickness' from harsh detergents. The diamond points look sharp in the photos, though any small nicks on these points would slightly reduce the value. Excellent preservation of the scalloped base. Condition is consistent with a well-cared-for cabinet piece.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
