Overview
A set of three earthenware 'grill plates' featuring the iconic concentric ring pattern and vibrant glazes characteristic of the California Pottery movement.
Story
In 1932, amidst the economic gloom of the Depression, Pacific Clay Products launched their 'Hostess' line to bring affordable cheer to American homes.
Maker / Origin
Pacific Clay Products began in the 1890s as a manufacturer of industrial sewer pipes and bricks before pivoting to dinnerware to survive the 1930s.
Condition & Value
The plates appear to be in excellent vintage condition with no visible chips or cracks. The glaze remains bright, though close inspection might reveal light 'utensil marks' or faint scratches from decades of use, which is common for this soft earthenware. Excellent glaze preservation commands the higher end of the range.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
