The incised characters on the front medallion read '耕峰 刀' (Kōhō tō / carved by Kōhō), an art name frequently associated with mid-to-late Showa era Chokin workshops in Japan. These master engravers adapted centuries-old sword-fitting techniques (*tsuba* making) into luxury souvenirs and export decorative ware.
Condition & Value
Very good vintage condition overall. Minor surface wear and fine hairline scratches visible along the outer gilded ceramic rim; the central metal engraving remains crisp and bright with minimal oxidation. Excellent preservation keeps it near the top of its typical market range.
