Maker / Origin
Hashimoto Kansetsu (1883–1945) was born in Hyogo Prefecture and studied under the renowned master Takeuchi Seiho. Deeply inspired by Chinese classical art and literature, Kansetsu became a towering figure in the Nihonga movement, famous for his lyrical landscapes and lifelike animal paintings.
