Overview
A classic fraternal lapel pin representing the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE). It features a detailed, three-dimensional elk's head with antlers cradling a clock face dial that is permanently frozen at the eleventh hour, rendered in fine enamel work.
Story
Since 1868, the Elks have gathered under a solemn vow of remembrance. This pin's clock is permanently set to 11:00 PM, the exact moment when every Elk, wherever they are, pauses to toast and remember their absent brothers.
Maker / Origin
While the specific manufacturer's stamp is obscured by the clutch back, pins like this were historically commissioned by local lodges from prominent American fraternal jewelers such as L.G. Balfour, Robbins Co., or Irons & Russell.
Condition & Value
The pin is in very good vintage condition. The enamel on the clock face is intact with no visible chips or cracks, and the metal shows a light, attractive patina. The clutch back appears to be a later replacement. Excellent enamel preservation keeps this at the healthier end of its value range.
