Overview
A rare and tactile presentation bottle for Lazzaroni Amaretto, featuring a red terracotta body with a fused green glass rim. This hybrid construction combines traditional Italian pottery with functional glasswork to preserve the liqueur's delicate almond flavor.
Story
Saronno, 1718: two lovers baked cookies for a visiting Cardinal, creating the legendary Amaretti di Saronno. This bottle held the only liqueur in the world actually infused with those cookies. The clay kept the spirit cool, while the glass lip ensured a perfect, clean pour.
Maker / Origin
The Lazzaroni family, known as the 'Biscuit Kings' of Italy, has been producing their secret amaretto recipe in Saronno since 1851. Unlike other brands that use extracts, Lazzaroni infuses their spirit with their own crushed cookies, a process that takes months.
Condition & Value
The bottle appears to be in excellent vintage condition with no visible chips to the delicate green glass rim or cracks in the terracotta body. The embossed lettering remains sharp and legible. Excellent preservation of the glass-to-clay bond adds to its value.
