Overview
A vibrant turquoise-blue milk glass decorative plate featuring a delicate openwork 'lace' border and a central bas-relief of a chick and a cracked egg.
Story
Post-war American families in the 1940s and 50s were obsessed with 'Early American' charm, and this little plate was the perfect centerpiece for a sunny Easter brunch.
Maker / Origin
The Westmoreland Glass Company, founded in 1889, was the undisputed king of American milk glass for nearly a century.
Condition & Value
The plate appears to be in excellent condition with a very crisp strike on the central image. The openwork loops on the edge are the most fragile part and should be inspected for 'flea bites' or hairline cracks. Excellent condition in this color commands the top end of the market price.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
