Maker / Origin
While bearing the name of Yan Liben (c. 600–673), premier artist and statesman of the early Tang dynasty, early scrolls bearing his signature are virtually all later academic copies or archaistic tributes produced by skilled workshop painters in the Ming, Qing, or early Republic eras.
