Overview
A striking example of 1970s 'TV-style' horology, this Omega Genève features a gold-toned cushion case and a minimalist champagne dial.
Story
In the early 1970s, the watch world was undergoing a radical shift in geometry, moving away from traditional round cases toward bold, architectural shapes like this square design.
Maker / Origin
Founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt, Omega has been the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932 and famously went to the moon on the wrists of Apollo astronauts.
Condition & Value
The dial appears remarkably clean with no visible 'foxing' or spotting, which is excellent for its age. There is some expected wear on the gold plating, particularly at the sharp corners of the case, and the strap is a modern replacement.

Build on this identification
Layer in sold comps, value drivers, and venue guidance.
Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
