Overview
A beautiful collection of Waterford Crystal stemware in the iconic 'Lismore' pattern, complete with their original signature gray presentation boxes. This set features the classic diamond and wedge cuts that have made Lismore the most famous crystal pattern in the world.
Story
In 1952, designer Miroslav Havel created a pattern inspired by the gothic castle of Lismore in County Waterford. He spent years studying the castle's leaded windows to translate their romance into cut glass. Today, it is the world's most celebrated crystal design.
Maker / Origin
Founded in 1783 by brothers George and William Penrose, Waterford Crystal set out to create the finest quality crystal for drinking vessels and home beauty. Though the original factory closed in 1851, the brand was spectacularly revived in 1947 by Czech immigrants Charles Bacik and Miroslav Havel, who brought European artistry back to Ireland.
Condition & Value
The glasses appear to be in excellent condition with no visible chips, cloudiness, or flea bites. The presence of original boxes suggests they were well-protected and lightly used, which helps maintain their maximum secondary market value.
