Overview
A set of five vintage double-sided pulpboard beer coasters from the historic Rotterdam Brewing Company. Featuring a vibrant tri-color design with retro typography, these coasters represent the early days of the modern craft beer movement in North America.
Story
Opened in 1993 on Toronto's trendy King Street West, the Rotterdam Brewing Company was a pioneering brewpub that helped spark Canada's craft beer revolution before closing its doors in 2012.
Maker / Origin
The Rotterdam Brewing Company was founded by microbrewery pioneer Peter McSherry. It was celebrated for introducing diverse European-style beers to a market dominated by mass-produced lagers, serving as a vital community hub for nearly two decades.
Condition & Value
The coasters appear to be in very good vintage condition with bright colors and minimal edge wear. There are no obvious glass rings or heavy water staining visible on the front faces, which greatly preserves their graphic appeal. Excellent condition commands the top end of the range.
