Story
In the early 1800s, British potters became obsessed with Japanese porcelain arriving from the port of Imari. Royal Crown Derby perfected this fusion of Eastern design and Western luxury, creating a pattern so beloved it has graced royal tables for over two centuries.
Maker / Origin
Established in 1750, Royal Crown Derby is one of the oldest remaining English porcelain manufacturers. Renowned for its high-quality bone china, the company received its 'Royal' warrant from Queen Victoria in 1890, cementing its status as a purveyor of luxury to the British monarchy and global elite.
Condition & Value
The porcelain appears to be in excellent vintage condition with vibrant colors. There is minor, expected shelf wear on the unglazed foot rims and very light rubbing to the gold gilding on some handles, which is typical for its age. Excellent condition with intact gilding commands the highest premium.
