Overview
This is a striking pair of ovoid ceramic table lamps featuring a lush 'Peony and Plum Blossom' motif in the traditional Chinoiserie style.
Story
During the 1970s and 80s, American interior design experienced a massive 'Chinoiserie' renaissance, as homeowners sought to blend traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern luxury.
Maker / Origin
While these lack a visible maker's mark, they are highly consistent with the quality imports distributed by high-end firms like Frederick Cooper or Wildwood Lamps.
Condition & Value
The ceramic bodies appear to be in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or crazing. The brass plating on the bases shows very light oxidation consistent with age, and the wiring appears original and functional. Having the original harps is a plus, though they will require shades to reach their full market potential.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
