Overview
A slide-lid cabinet (SLB) of 25 Cohiba Robustos Cuban cigars featuring classic yellow-and-black Taino head bands and official Cuban government warranty seals. Cohiba is widely considered the flagship brand of Habanos S.A., initially created exclusively for Fidel Castro and high-ranking diplomats.
Story
Created in 1966, Cohiba was Cuba's top-secret national gift before launching commercially in 1982. The tobacco undergoes an exclusive third fermentation in wooden barrels, unique to this legendary Havana brand.
Maker / Origin
Cohiba was established at the secret El Laguito factory in Havana under the direction of Eduardo Rivera, who rolled cigars privately for Fidel Castro. The name derives from the ancient Taino Indian word for the rolled tobacco leaves smoked by indigenous Cubans before Columbus arrived.
Condition & Value
The cedar box and paper seals appear intact. However, the condition, oil content, and smokeability of the cigars depend entirely on whether they have been stored in a proper temperature- and humidity-controlled humidor. Dry or cracked wrappers severely reduce value.
