Story
The 1890 McKinley Tariff Act in the United States changed the world of antiques forever by requiring all imported goods to be marked with their country of origin.
Maker / Origin
While the specific factory mark is a generic export stamp, the style is highly consistent with the Reinhold Schlegelmilch (RS Germany) workshops or the surrounding porcelain houses of Suhl and Tillowitz.
Condition & Value
The porcelain appears to be free of chips or cracks. The gold gilding on the neck shows very little 'rubbing' or wear, which is excellent for a piece of this age. The hand-painted florals remain vibrant without significant scratches. Excellent condition like this maintains the upper end of the value range.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
