Overview
This is a vintage-style portable Chinese chess set featuring cast resin pieces modeled after the famous Qin Shi Huang Terracotta Warriors. The pieces are housed in a folding wooden case lined with simulated antique manuscript paper, decorated on the exterior with scholars playing weiqi and opening into a dragon-and-phoenix checkerboard.
Story
Following the 1974 discovery of the Terracotta Army in Xi'an, artisans began crafting souvenir sets blending ancient imperial history with Western chess. It turns an emperor's eternal army into a tabletop battlefield.
