This is a vintage Federal Revival mahogany-stained side chair featuring classical Greek klismos-inspired curved stiles, reeded rails, and a carved central anthemion (palmette) rosette across an X-form back splat. The design borrows directly from high Regency and early 19th-century Duncan Phyfe aesthetics, popular in American homes throughout the early-to-mid 20th century.

Maker / Origin
Produced by an American furniture manufacturer during the height of the Colonial and Federal Revival movements. While the underside bears an artisan or inspector script marking, thousands of such refined dining suites were manufactured across furniture hubs like Grand Rapids, Michigan, and High Point, North Carolina.
Condition & Value
Shows honest vintage cosmetic wear including scuffs, finish loss around the edges and legs, and later vintage replacement upholstery. Finish wear and being an orphan chair moderate its market value.
