Overview
This is a handcrafted wooden puzzle keepsake box shaped as an English Bulldog, constructed using layered intarsia woodworking. It features an interlocking key pin design, velvet-lined hidden compartment, and contrasting natural wood tones without stain.
Story
Intarsia woodcraft blends scrollwork with mosaic puzzle mechanics. Designed in Hawaii as a deceptive keepsake, its secret compartment unlocks only when specific exterior pieces are pulled in order.
Maker / Origin
Island Wood Treasures produces decorative artisan woodwork branded in Hawaii, famous for novelty trick boxes and desktop animal sculptures. They specialize in multi-wood assemblage that utilizes the authentic natural hue and grain of varied exotic woods rather than artificial dyes.
Condition & Value
Appears in excellent condition with its original paper insert and silica packet, displaying rich luster and no visible chips or cracks. Retaining original inserts sustains maximum secondary collector value.
