Story
Blown glass with deep black pigment requires precise chemical saturation, pushing the material to total opacity. Studio glassmakers in the late 20th century turned pure geometric spheres into tactile sculptures.
Maker / Origin
Handcrafted by an independent studio glassmaker, carrying a vibro-etched or diamond-point inscription on the base. Studio glass artists emerged strongly after the 1962 Toledo Workshops, transforming glass from a purely industrial factory medium into fine studio art.
