Overview
A beautifully sculpted mid-century shamrock or three-leaf clover brooch featuring a central, high-luster Majorica organic man-made pearl. The piece is crafted in sterling silver with a gold-plated vermeil finish, accented by textured gold-tone inner petals and a border of glittering pave-set rhinestones.
Story
In 1890 on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, a German immigrant perfected a secret formula to replicate the luster of wild pearls. This brooch represents the height of that mid-century glamour, turning organic paste into high fashion.
Maker / Origin
Founded by Eduard Hugo Heusch in Manacor, Mallorca, Majorica became globally famous for creating the world's finest organic, man-made pearls. Unlike cheap plastic imitations, Majorica pearls are crafted from solid glass spheres coated in a proprietary essence made from marine elements, mimicking the natural layering of a real oyster pearl.
Condition & Value
The brooch shows moderate wear consistent with age. There is some noticeable tarnishing and spotting on the gold vermeil finish on the back and inner petals. The central pearl appears to have retained its beautiful luster, and the pin mechanism is intact.
