Overview
A novelty glass aftershave decanter cleverly disguised as a Citizens Band (CB) radio microphone, complete with its original graphic-heavy box.
Story
In 1975, the song 'Convoy' hit number one on the charts, and suddenly every suburban dad in America wanted to be a long-haul trucker. This decanter captures the peak of the CB radio craze, a time when '10-4' and 'What's your handle?' became part of the national lexicon.
Maker / Origin
Avon began as the California Perfume Company in 1886, but by the 1970s, they had mastered the art of the 'novelty decanter.'
Condition & Value
The box shows typical edge wear and minor scuffing consistent with 40+ years of storage. The decanter appears well-preserved with the original bottom label intact. The presence of the original box is a significant value-add, as most were discarded immediately after opening. Condition is consistent with a well-kept collector's item.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
