Story

In the late 1930s, a woman named Florence Ward began modeling clay in her Pasadena garage as a way to cope with the loss of her son. What started as a private, grief-stricken hobby blossomed into one of the most successful boutique ceramic studios in American history.

Condition & Value

The applied flowers appear to be in excellent condition, which is rare as these petals are notoriously prone to chipping. There is some minor shelf wear on the unglazed foot rim and slight fading to the gold trim, but the overall presentation is very strong. Intact petals significantly preserve the value.
