Victorian parlors competed for drama, and nothing signaled refinement quite like dark ground porcelain dripping in raised gold scrolls and romantic floral vignettes.
Maker / Origin
The underside shows a small painted or printed fractional/alphanumeric decorator's mark (resembling 'M' or a number). Continental manufactories across Thuringia, Bavaria, and Limoges, as well as English Staffordshire potteries, produced decorative blanks for both factory and studio decorators to hand-gild and paint.
Condition & Value
Appears well preserved with crisp florals, though minor rubbing to the gilt highlights on the raised rim scrolls is typical. Condition is stable and presents well for display.
