Founded in 1890 in Roseville, Ohio, the Roseville Pottery Company moved to Zanesville to become one of the giants of American art pottery. Known for their matte glazes and hand-painted relief designs, they democratized beautiful art ware for the middle-class American home. Though the company closed its doors in 1954, its pieces remain highly sought after by collectors worldwide.
Condition & Value
The planter appears to be in good vintage condition with strong glaze color and no obvious major chips visible from the front. However, art pottery of this age is highly prone to interior lime scale from use, hairline cracks, and small chips on the sharp corners of the handles or base.
