Overview
A classic example of American Carnival Glass featuring the 'Stippled Strawberry' pattern with a ruffled 'pie crust' edge.
Story
In 1908, the Fenton Art Glass Company introduced a shimmering, iridescent glass meant to compete with the high-end 'Favrile' glass of Louis Comfort Tiffany. Because it was affordable and often given away as prizes at local fairs and midways, it earned the nickname 'Carnival Glass.'
Maker / Origin
Harry Northwood, the son of a legendary English glassmaker, established his company in West Virginia and became the king of the Carnival Glass era.
Condition & Value
The iridescence appears well-preserved with nice pink and gold highlights. No major chips or 'flea bites' are visible on the delicate ruffled edges. Minor 'straw marks' or cooling lines may be present on the base, which are manufacturing artifacts rather than damage. Excellent condition for its age.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
