Overview
An iconic vintage 1985 Coleco Cabbage Patch Kids doll featuring yellow yarn pigtails, blue eyes, and a single molded tooth. This doll comes complete with her original floral-accented white dress, hangtag, original box, and her unopened birth certificate and adoption papers naming her 'Eugenie Leonore'.
Story
In 1983, a toy craze swept the globe so intensely that it triggered actual riots in department stores. This doll, Eugenie Leonore, was born in 1985, carrying the signature 'adoption' papers that made millions of children feel like real parents.
Maker / Origin
Originally created as hand-stitched 'Little People' by Xavier Roberts in 1978, the design was licensed to Coleco in 1982. Coleco mass-produced the vinyl-headed dolls, turning them into one of the most successful and beloved toy franchises of the 20th century.
Condition & Value
The doll is in excellent, clean condition with vibrant cheek blush and intact yarn hair. The box shows some wear, creasing, and minor tearing at the top flaps, but the plastic window is intact and the birth certificate envelope remains sealed. This minor box wear slightly tempers the top-end value.
