Story
In 1971, Thomas Mosser established his Ohio workshop to revive the lost, whimsical glass patterns of the Victorian era. This spooner was designed to sit proudly at the center of a family table, keeping sugar-stirring spoons within easy reach. Its magical, glowing secret lies in a tiny pinch of uranium added to the molten glass mix.
Maker / Origin
Mosser Glass was born out of the closure of the legendary Cambridge Glass Company, where founder Thomas Mosser had worked since childhood. Operating in Cambridge, Ohio, the family-owned company became renowned for acquiring historic, defunct molds and breathing new life into them.
Condition & Value
The spooner appears to be in excellent vintage condition with no visible chips, cracks, or flea bites along the delicate scalloped rim or handles. The opalescent treatment is beautifully distributed, and the glass retains its high-gloss luster. Excellent condition like this commands a premium.
