This is an intricately hand-hammered brass decorative charger featuring chased floral motifs and a central medallion with confronted birds, possibly nightingales or songbirds (a classic 'Gol-o-Bolbol' motif). The warm brass highlights contrast against a silvery, tinned or polished ground, framed by a delicate scalloped piecrust rim.

While unsigned, this piece emerges from the renowned metalworking bazaars of Isfahan (Iran) or northern India, where traditional 'Qalamzani' (chasing and repoussé) guilds passed hammer-and-chisel techniques down through generations of master artisans.

Very good vintage condition. Shows minor surface tarnish, light patina wear consistent with age, and comes fitted with an applied triangular wall hanger on the reverse. General good preservation maintains solid decorative value.
