Overview
A professionally matted tribute featuring a classic publicity still from 'The Seven Year Itch' paired with the inaugural 1995 'Legends of Hollywood' 32-cent postage stamp.
Story
On June 1, 1995, the United States Postal Service released this stamp as the very first entry in their 'Legends of Hollywood' series, a move that was met with both massive fanfare and some controversy at the time.
Maker / Origin
The stamp itself was designed by Michael Deas, a prolific illustrator who also painted the iconic 'Torch Lady' logo for Columbia Pictures.
Condition & Value
The display appears well-preserved with no visible foxing (brown spots) on the matting or fading of the stamp's vibrant blues. The frame shows minor surface wear consistent with age. Keeping it out of direct sunlight is vital, as 1990s-era inks are susceptible to UV damage.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
