Overview
A stunning 'Champs-Élysées' centerpiece bowl featuring stylized frosted maple leaves, accompanied by a smaller 'Cactus' pattern fluted dish. These pieces represent the pinnacle of French lead crystal, utilizing the signature contrast between satin-finished frost and brilliant clear glass.
Story
Designed by Marc Lalique in 1951, the leaf motif captures the essence of the famous Parisian avenue. It was a tribute to the city's post-war rebirth, turning nature into a permanent, frozen architectural marvel.
Maker / Origin
René Lalique was the master of Art Nouveau jewelry and Art Deco glass, but it was his son, Marc, who transitioned the company into the heavy, brilliant lead crystal era. Their factory in Alsace remains the only place in the world where these specific pieces are handcrafted by master glassmakers.
Condition & Value
The pieces appear bright with no visible clouding or major chips in the photos. Fleabites on the sharp leaf tips or scratches on the base would significantly impact value. Excellent condition commands a premium.
