While unsigned, these canisters are crafted in the tradition of Murano glassmakers who mastered the 'tartaruga' (tortoiseshell) technique. Studios in Italy, as well as high-end design houses importing from skilled Asian workshops, popularized this specific style of heavy, decorative art glass for luxury home interiors in the late 1990s and 2000s.
