Maker / Origin
Leonardo Roda (1868–1933) was an acclaimed Italian landscape painter from the Piedmont region, celebrated for his mastery of light and shadow in alpine settings. He studied at the Albertina Academy in Turin and dedicated his career to capturing the rugged beauty of the Valle d'Aosta and surrounding mountain ranges.
Condition & Value
The painting appears to be in very good antique condition with minor surface grime and light craquelure consistent with age. The original gilded frame shows minor wear and small losses to the gilding, which is typical for its age. Excellent preservation of the canvas backing and historical labels.
