Maker / Origin
Kutani Shoza (1816–1883) was a legendary master craftsman who revolutionized Kutani porcelain by introducing 'Saishiki-kinrande' (colored enamels with gold paint). His workshop's style became so popular that it dominated the export market, characterized by dense, highly detailed narrative scenes and a brilliant palette.
Condition & Value
The charger appears to be in excellent antique condition with no visible cracks, chips, or major structural repairs. There is minor, expected wear to the gold gilding along the rim and light surface scratches consistent with age. Excellent preservation of the enamels maintains its strong display value.
