Overview

Post-war glassmakers in 1960s Central Europe revolutionized cold-working techniques. By cutting heavy colored crystal into jewel-like facets, they transformed a single bud into a sculptural centerpiece.

While Czech masters like Jan Beránek, Miloslav Klinger, or factories like Karlovarské Sklo (Moser) and German houses like Ingrid Glass perfected this aesthetic, many were exported with simple foil labels that washed off over time.
