Founded in 1905 by Addis Emmet Hull, the Hull Pottery Company of Crooksville, Ohio, initially succeeded with utilitarian stoneware before transitioning to art pottery. After surviving a devastating flood and fire in 1950, the company rebuilt and pivoted to highly durable, oven-proof kitchenware, becoming famous for their distinctive drip glazes before closing their doors in 1986.
