Overview
This is a dramatic multi-light 'Lily' floor lamp featuring a cluster of dark, bent-metal gooseneck stems arching outward from a cast lily-pad base. Each stem terminates in a trumpet-shaped glass shade with white frit spatter detail, mimicking Louis Comfort Tiffany's iconic turn-of-the-century botanical lighting designs.
Story
Louis Comfort Tiffany introduced the multi-stem lily lamp at the turn of the 20th century to bring natural botanical forms into modern electric homes. Mid-to-late 20th-century glassmakers revived these beloved organic forms with speckled frit glass, creating warm, dappled light.
Maker / Origin
While original Tiffany Studios lily lamps from around 1900 were crafted from favrile blown glass and patinated bronze, this piece is a late 20th-century revival lamp. During the 1970s through the 1990s, workshops produced high-quality reproductions and homage pieces to satisfy a massive resurgence in public demand for Art Nouveau decor.
Condition & Value
Appears to be in fair to good vintage condition with intact glass shades and intact metal stems. Minor surface wear and dust are visible on the base and wiring, which should be inspected prior to use. Missing or chipped shades significantly reduce market value.
