Overview
A professionally matted commemorative display featuring the iconic 'subway grate' photograph from the 1955 film 'The Seven Year Itch' alongside the 1995 inaugural 'Legends of Hollywood' postage stamp.
Story
On June 1, 1995, the United States Postal Service launched its 'Legends of Hollywood' series, and there was no more fitting choice for the debut than Marilyn Monroe.
Maker / Origin
The stamp was designed by award-winning illustrator Michael Deas, who is also famous for redesigning the Columbia Pictures 'Torch Lady' logo.
Condition & Value
The display appears to be in very good vintage condition with the matting showing no signs of fading or water damage. The frame has minor surface wear consistent with age. The stamp is well-centered and appears to be in mint, uncancelled condition.
