Maker / Origin

The bar bears the stamp of BJA (Bureau de Jaugeage et d'Analyse), a highly respected European assayer and refiner known for certifying high-purity precious metals for major continental banks. Banque Nationale de Paris (BNP), which commissioned this bar, is one of the oldest and most influential banking groups in Europe, tracing its roots back to the mid-19th century.

Condition & Value

The bar is in excellent vintage condition, displaying a gorgeous, untouched golden-brown oxidation (patina) that only develops over decades of storage. There are minor handling marks and soft edge dings consistent with its age and storage, which actually enhance its character.
