While often unsigned, pieces like this were typically created by independent studio woodturners active in the 1960s and 70s. These artisans, inspired by pioneers like George Nakashima and Bob Stocksdale, focused on highlighting the natural 'imperfections' of wood—such as burls, knots, and wild grain patterns—as the primary decorative element.

Condition & Value

The lamp appears to be in excellent vintage condition with a rich, warm patina to the wood. There are no obvious cracks or heat scorches to the delicate wooden shade, which is a common issue with vintage wooden lamps. Excellent preservation of the wood grain maintains its top value.
