Story
Made in the late 20th century, this vase carries a handwritten Japanese inscription on the base dated to August 1995. It was purchased in Shanghai as a souvenir, bridging Chinese ceramic artistry with a Japanese collector's journey.
Maker / Origin
While bearing an apocryphal Qianlong seal mark, this piece was crafted by skilled 20th-century artisans in Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of China. These workshops kept imperial decorative traditions alive for the global export and tourist market.
Condition & Value
The vase appears to be in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or major enamel loss. The unglazed foot rim shows minor shelf wear consistent with age, and the handwritten ink on the base remains clear and legible. Excellent condition commands the higher end of the value range.
