Workshops like Lardy, Chavet, and Roze utilized local timber and specialized lathes to supply high-quality, weighted, and felted sets to players worldwide before plastic and cheaper imports dominated the market.

Condition & Value

The box shows moderate wear consistent with age and use, including surface scratches, minor staining on the lid, and typical oxidation on the metal clasp. The blue ink stamp on the unfinished bottom remains highly legible, which is excellent for collectors.
