While many such pieces were made by anonymous artisans for the high-end gift trade, workshops like the 'Miniature Basket House' became famous for signing these tiny marvels. They represent a mid-century bridge between traditional rural basketry and the burgeoning world of adult miniatures and dollhouse collecting.

Condition & Value

The basket appears to be in excellent vintage condition with no visible breaks in the weavers or handles. The natural honey-colored patina is consistent with age and adds to its character. Excellent condition for such a fragile item commands the higher end of the range.
