Maker / Origin
The bowl bears the red mark 'Kaga Kutani, Asahi-sei' (加賀九谷 朝日製) on the base, indicating it was manufactured by the Asahi workshop in Kaga Province. The interior painting is signed by the master decorator Chochoshan (丁々山), a highly skilled painter known for bringing historical and theatrical scenes to life with incredible movement and expression.
Condition & Value
The bowl appears to be in excellent antique condition with no visible cracks or major chips. There is minor, expected wear to the gold gilding along the rim and some light surface scratches consistent with age. Excellent preservation of the delicate overglaze enamels commands a premium.
