Overview
A charming three-piece folk art set consisting of a hand-painted stone landscape and two welded metal desert sculptures.
Story
In the mid-20th century, the high desert of California became a sanctuary for artists seeking light, space, and a connection to the rugged landscape.
Maker / Origin
Ada Bigler was a local artist in the Twentynine Palms community, a town famous for its 'Mural City' status and its proximity to Joshua Tree.
Condition & Value
The original paper label on the rock shows significant age-related yellowing and a partial tear, which actually serves as excellent provenance for its vintage. The metal sculptures show a natural dark patina and some dust accumulation in the crevices, which is consistent with age and does not detract from the value.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
