In the years following World War II, the glassmakers of Murano transformed their ancient, secretive techniques into a bold new language of modernism that took the world by storm.

Maker / Origin

While many of these pieces were produced by legendary houses like Venini or Fratelli Toso, the 'A Canne' style was a hallmark of the entire Murano island during the mid-century period.

Condition & Value

The glass appears vibrant with no visible chips or 'flea bites' along the rim in the photos. The surface clarity looks good, though light scratches on the base from 'shelf wear' are expected and do not significantly hurt value. Excellent condition for its age commands the higher end of the estimate.
