This is a vintage 1/64 scale die-cast replica of a John Deere self-propelled cotton stripper (resembling the JD 484 / 7445 series cotton harvesters). Produced by Ertl, it features heavy die-cast metal construction, detailed basket mesh casting, and the iconic John Deere green and yellow livery.
Story
In the 1980s, John Deere modernized southern cotton harvesting with enclosed-cab strippers. Ertl quickly scaled these regional giants down to pocket size, creating a niche favorite among farm toy collectors.

Founded in 1945 by Fred Ertl Sr. in his Dubuque, Iowa furnace room during an aluminum strike, The Ertl Company grew to become the undisputed titan of farm toy replicas.
