Overview
A delicate Chinese porcelain tea cup hand-painted in the vibrant Famille Rose (Fencai) palette. The exterior features a continuous garden scene depicting the Sanxing (Three Star Gods of Blessing, Prosperity, and Longevity) rendered with charming, expressive detail.
Story
For centuries, Chinese households welcomed the Three Star Gods to invite good fortune, status, and long life. This cup brings that ancient blessing directly to the tea table, transforming a daily ritual into an act of hope.
Maker / Origin
While bearing an apocryphal iron-red Qianlong seal mark on the base, this cup was crafted by skilled, anonymous artisans in Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of China. During the late Qing and Republic eras, private kilns frequently used historic imperial marks to honor past golden ages of ceramic mastery.
Condition & Value
The cup appears to be in good overall condition with no major cracks visible. There is minor wear to the gilt rim and some typical firing imperfections in the glaze, which is normal for wares of this period. Good preservation of the enamels supports the higher end of the value range.
