Centuries ago, Chinese artisans painted European merchants based purely on secondhand sketches and imagination. This basin captures that vibrant clash of worlds, depicting Western tall ships through the eyes of Chinese porcelain masters.
Maker / Origin
While unsigned, this piece originates from the historic kiln center of Jingdezhen, China. For over a millennium, Jingdezhen was the imperial porcelain capital, later adapting its incredible mastery to produce custom wares for European and American maritime trade.
Condition & Value
Appears in very good condition with no visible cracks, major chips, or structural repairs. Normal kiln specks, light enamel surface rubbing, and minor soiling on the unglazed foot ring consistent with age and decorative use.
