Story

In 1998, Galileo Engineering launched Slot.it in Reggio Emilia, Italy, transforming a childhood hobby into a high-performance engineering discipline. These models replicate the golden era of Group C and GT1 racing, where Porsches dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Each car is a miniature mechanical marvel designed to run as beautifully as it looks.

Maker / Origin

Founded by Maurizio Ferrari, Slot.it revolutionized the slot car hobby by introducing competition-grade modular parts, high-torque motors, and perfectly scaled, lightweight plastic bodies. They bridged the gap between static model building and high-speed competitive slot racing. Today, they are widely considered the gold standard for out-of-the-box performance and scale accuracy.

Condition & Value

The slot cars appear to be in mint, unused condition, with several still sealed in their original factory shrink wrap over the orange Slot.it cardboard sleeves. The clear acrylic display cases show no signs of cracking or heavy scuffing. Excellent preservation of the packaging strongly supports the high end of the valuation.
