Atlantic Mold was one of the premier American ceramic slip-cast mold manufacturers of the 1960s and 1970s, supplying studios and hobbyists with detailed plaster molds for greenware. Enthusiasts poured liquid slip into the molds, fired them in kilns, and hand-painted each piece, often signing their own name on the base upon completion.
